ProPhase assists investigators and Sponsors to generate reliable data through a program that helps raters “attain, maintain, and retain” a very high level of comprehension and accuracy using psychiatric ratings scales. Through collaborations with other leading psychometricians, the authors and developers of these scales (i.e. PANSS, NSA-16, MINI etc.), we have sought to improve on existing methods for educating and training investigators for clinical research.
Our trainers are clinical professionals and university educators with post-graduate educational and research backgrounds in psychometrics, public health, psychology, psychiatry and clinical research methodologies. They are exceptional facilitators who keep the audience engaged and focused on content and message of the training.
ProPhase has successfully established premier education and training programs for clinical treatment, academic research, and industry-sponsored clinical trials under the oversight and guidance of our Expert Consensus Panel.
While most programs focus solely on ensuring inter-rater reliability across investigative sites, ProPhase’s programs also focus on intra-rater reliability and validity, establishing reliability across all levels of organization: within raters, between raters, across sites, and across studies.
Our programs help produce expert raters who not only perform well for a given study, but then retain their skill levels and comprehension well beyond the study.
ProPhase also maintains a database registry of raters from every site, study, country, and disciplinary focus, documenting their performance throughout each study and beyond. At the end of a given study, ProPhase provides thorough reports on each rater’s qualifications, utilizing measures of reliability (ICC), agreement (Kappa), and other correlative statistics (Pearson’s R).
